RECORDED LIVE AT the home of Reybridge Records, The Mill Sessions feature well-established and up-and-coming singer-songwriters performing acoustic versions of their songs pretty much as they wrote them.
Located on the edge of Warrington in Appleton, The Mill is a place where creativity comes to life. Sadly, making a living out of being creative is becoming harder and harder.
“The music business has changed,” says Ray Humphries, the man behind the Mill Sessions. “Paying gigs are hard to find and keeping your profile high as an artist is a constant challenge.”
With this in mind the team at The Mill put out an open invitation to artists wishing to raise their profile, inviting them to lay down some tunes with the cameras rolling, with the videos and tracks they created being made available to assist them in their quest.
As part of the project, broadcaster Andy Green, another passionate supporter of live and recorded music, offered to interview the artists involved to further assist them in raising their profiles.
Here’s a short clip of Andy promoting the first series of Mill Session Interviews which took place in 2022…
